Pixel Pitch, Resolution & Viewing Distance
When renting an LED display, pixel pitch, resolution and viewing distance play a crucial role. Pixel pitch refers to the distance between the LEDs, and the smaller the pitch, the sharper the image, especially for short distances. A rule of thumb for determining the proper viewing distance is: multiply the pixel pitch by 1,000 to calculate the minimum viewing distance in millimeters. For example, a pixel pitch of 2 mm means a minimum viewing distance of about 2 meters, while a pitch of 3.9 mm is ideal for distances of 5 meters or more.

The resolution is determined by the pixel pitch and the size of your screen. The content determines what resolution you need for your display. Want to rent a large outdoor advertising display to showcase a message? Then an outdoor display with a low resolution is sufficient. LED controllers & media players
‍LEDcontrollers and media players work together to display and control the content on an LED screen. They are essential to the proper functioning of the LED display, with the controller ensuring that images are displayed correctly and the media player determining what is played.

The LED controller controls the brightness, colors and synchronization of the display. There are two types of controllers: synchronous controllers, which operate in real-time and are perfect for live events, and asynchronous controllers, which play pre-loaded content without the need for a constant connection. This makes them ideal for applications such as billboards that always display the same content.

The media player manages the content displayed on the screen. Standalone media players operate without a network connection and play locally stored content, while networked media players manage remote content over a network, which is useful for events or locations where content needs to be updated frequently.
